Admiralty's Investment Advisory Board 

 
HUBERT A. ADAMS, BBA, MBA, is Executive Director of Admiralty Investment Group, heading the Washington D.C. office and Aufsichsrat of First Venture Capital AG. He also serves on the Energy, Telecom and High Tech Committees of the Investment Advisory Board. Mr. Adams has over seven years of experience in nuclear and coal-fired power plants. He has created computer cost models and has published papers on power plant construction cost forecasting. He consulted with a small telecom company doing telecom installations and designing systems to pull wire, including representing shareholders and negotiating capital structures. He has done research on the technical, commercial and economic aspects of implementing a dialysis center and manufacturing antigens for recombinant DNA researchers. In addition, he was founder of a high tech firm using laser technology for US defense industry clients. He eventually took that company public through an initial public offering (IPO).
Prof. Adams is also Executive Director of Admiralty Group LLC, the US Office of Admiralty Investment Group in Washington DC. Mr. Adams has over 25 years of experience in diversified domestic and international assignments. He has worked with a number of state-owned and newly privatized enterprises, where he provided finance, enterprise restructuring, marketing and accounting (including accounting conversion of Soviet GOS accounting into IAS standards) advise. He has provided computer and networking consulting to the Armenian Ministry of Finance, bank auditing services to EURSIA foundation and survey services to the World Bank. In addition, he developed and managed a project of developing a physical plant layout and system redesign for another client. His European assignments have included clients such as the OECD and the IMF, for which he has developed workflow studies and implementation plans in imaging and document management application. He also worked for the Ford Motor Company for several years. He has organized companies and developed securitization programs for financing the purchasing of account receivables. As a company CFO, he has led a successful IPO (NASDAQ) as well as participated in multiple corporate turnaround projects. Prof. Adams has served as a board member for a public company. He has been professor of accounting, auditing and other business courses at the graduate and undergraduate level at American University of Armenia, L'Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees, Paris and Strayer University, Washington DC. PHILIP J. BARR, B.Sc. (Hons.), Ph.D., is currently the President, Chief Operating Officer and Director of AlphaOne Pharmaceuticals, an Alameda, California-based biotechnology company. He will serve on the Biotech Committee. Dr. Barr is also an Adjunct Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of California, San Francisco. His current interests are in the use of pulmonary administered biopharmaceuticals for the treatment of emphysema, asthma and cystic fibrosis. Dr. Barr is the former Director of Molecular Biology of Chiron Corporation, one of the three largest biotechnology companies worldwide. He has published over 180 peer-reviewed articles in the scientific literature, and is a named inventor on 27 issued U.S. patents. Dr. Barr has significant expertise in the production of biopharmaceutical products for the treatment and diagnosis of human disease. Furthermore, Dr. Barr has been involved in commercial biotechnology since its inception in the early 1980s. He has a unique overview position on current platform technologies within the biotechnology field, and will be highly proficient in evaluating emerging technologies in the biomedical area. Dr. Barr is a citizen of the U.K., and has permanent residence status in the US.

JOSEPH D. BERRIER JR., BA, is an experienced international telecommunications specialist. He will serve on the Telecom Committee of the Investment Advisory Board. Mr. Berrier spent 38 years with AT&T, AT&T International and Illinois Bell, in the US, Australia and Hong Kong. He was Regional Director and Vice President with responsibility for all administration, budget, personnel and staff for the Asia Pacific Region's 21 business units. Thereafter, he was Vice President-International of Transworld Telecom and President / Chief Executive Officer of ArmenTel, the national telecommunications company of Armenia, with responsibility of managing 8,000 employees and implementing a $40 million rebuilding of the telephone network. He oversaw the sale of ArmenTel to OTE, the Greek Telephone Company. Mr. Berrier is a US Citizen.

PHILIP A. BLAIN, BA, MA, is Telecommunications Specialist, and will serve as Chairman of the Telecom Committee of the Investment Advisory Board. Mr. Blain has had over 25 years experience in international telecommunications and electronics services. Mr. Blain's mobile expertise is expected to be particularly helpful in markets that are rapidly emerging from being regulated to de-regulation. He has held senior positions with Standard Telephones and Cables (an ITT company); Cray Electronics plc, British Telecom plc and Telecom New Zealand. He has extensive management experience in the management of new ventures, business development and business turnarounds, mainly in the field of communications and electronics value added services. He was founding Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Telecom Networks and International Ltd., a subsidiary of Telecom NZ. He was also a founding Director of Telecom Cellular Limited, having prescribed the fast growth commercial structure for the national network and service providers. He formulated (with a leading merchant bank) detailed investment plans for Pacificom Networks Limited, a prospective new venture for a third long distance carrier in New Zealand. He has directed business development, new ventures and change management activities for a number of large corporates in New Zealand and overseas. Clients have included Callnet (Canada), Datacom Group Limited, New Zealand Post Limited, EDS/Databank Systems Limited, ANZ Banking Group (NZ), Bank of New Zealand, National Bank of New Zealand, Westpac Banking Corporation, Fiji Post and Telecommunications Limited/Government of Fiji, GTE/GTE Hawaiian Telecom, New Zealand Fire Service Commission, Radiolink (New Zealand) Limited, Pacific Electric Wire & Cable Co. DALE BRADLEY will serve on the Media Committee. As New Zealand's most active film director. He has been a feature filmmaker for over 18 years, and has completed three films in the last year, all of which are in the international market. Of these, he wrote two of the scripts as well. Hi is co-founder of Daybreak Pictures of New Zealand, and has been a national finalist for his films. Mr. Bradley is an expert at reviewing scripts and making commercial judgements of their quality, cost and likely financial success.

GRANT BRADLEY will serve as Chairman of the Media Committee of the Investment Advisory Board. Mr. Bradley is Chief Executive Officer and Executive Producer of Inter-Pacific Film Corporation of Hollywood, California and of Daybreak Pictures of New Zealand. Mr. Bradley has been a feature filmmaker for over 18 years and is currently one of New Zealand's most successful feature filmmaker. He currently has three films represented at all the international markets, including the Cannes Film Market in France, MIFED in Milan, and the American Film Market in Santa Monica, California.
In addition to films, Mr. Bradley has had successes in the areas of music and stage production. He produced the record and music video "Lovin' Feelings" in 1986 featuring David Hasselhoff. The recording achieved platinum status in Germany and Austria. Additionally, he organized the financing of the stage production of "Joseph and The Technicolor Dream Coat" (Known in Germany as "Joseph and His Brothers" in Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand, under license from Andrew Lloyd Weber, together with Admiralty Investment Group. JAN CAMPBELL, BA, MA (Engineering), PhD (Philosophy), is an international financial analyst and consultant, for many of the world's leading commercial banks. He will serve on the Energy Committee of the Investment Advisory Board. As an engineer and financial expert, Dr. Campbell has worked with power generation, hydro-electric, recycling, construction, heavy and light industry, and software development projects in many countries, including Armenia, Czech Republic, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Kyrgyz Republic, Malaysia, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, Switzerland, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, Vietnam, as well as many other consulting projects around the world. Dr. Campbell also holds a Diploma in Islamic Banking and a Certificate in Neuro-Linguistic Programming. He is fluent in German, Czech, Russian, English, Italian, and French languages, and speaks Kyrgyz at a basic level. He is a publicly appointed translator by the City of Karlsruhe, and a former member of the UK and German Delegations (Commercial Section), in Bonn. Dr. Campbell is a German citizen.

GERHARD W. FALK, MSc, MBA, CFP, is Executive Director of Admiralty Investment Group's Austrian Office and member of the Aufsichrat of First Venture Capital AG. He serves on the Energy Committee of the Investment Advisory Board, as a result of his senior level banking experience in the energy field. Mr. Falk represented Bank of America's Energy Division in the US. As Team Leader he had responsibility for most major energy companies in the Rocky Mountain and US Midwest for several years. Mr. Falk has held many senior banking positions with major banking corporations including Bank of America in San Francisco, London and Hamburg, and with Oesterreichische Laenderbank AG in Vienna and Klagenfurt. While with Bank of America in its San Francisco World Headquarters, he was Area Administrator for all of Eastern Europe, including the former USSR and Yugoslavia. In London, he was Assistant Section Head for European Ship Finance and in Hamburg, Head of Credit. After returning to San Francisco, he held the posts of Vice President - Term Leader of the Energy Team and subsequently the Financial Institutions Group, where he gained a high degree of expertise in analyzing banks and financial institutions. Most recently, he was the Regional Manager for all Laenderbank's activities in Carinthia and East Tyrol, including project financing for the governments of Slovenia and Croatia. Mr. Falk holds an MSc in International Economics from Louisiana State University, an MBA specializing in Management and Banking from the Economics University of Vienna, and a Cert. Dr.WEI GAO, B.E., M.E., Ph.D., is on the High Tech Committee. Professor Gao is Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering the University of Auckland, New Zealand. He is also Co-ordinator of Materials Research Cluster, there. Dr. Gao received his BE and ME in Metallic Materials from North-eastern University and Beijing Central Research Institute China, and a Ph. D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Oxford University, UK. He also spent five years as a Researcher, Principal Investigator and Technical Director of the Rapid Solidification Laboratory of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. At the University of Auckland, he teaches at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and actively conducts materials research in the areas of nano-materials and nano-technology, advanced coating and surface technologies, high temperature corrosion & oxidation, superconductors, electronic ceramics, photo-luminescence materials, intermetallics, rapid solidification, amorphous alloys, electron microscopy and microanalysis, and computer modelling and applications in materials processing and performance. He has published more than 250 research papers, a textbook, several chapters in books and an encyclopaedia. He holds 5 US/international patents and 3 MIT Disclosures. He is currently on the editorial board of a number of journals, has been invited to give numerous keynote and invited lectures, and is the member of many professional associations including IPENZ, ACA, MRS, AMS, TMS. He is Honorary Professor for several overseas Universities.

DAVID GRAY, BSc (Biochemistry, with Honours), MSc (Biochemical Engineering) has 20 years experience in Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industry. He will serve on the Biotech Committee of our Investment Advisory Board. As a specialist in biotech research, equipment design and manufacturing, he has worked with some of the most advanced companies in the UK, the US and Switzerland. He has numerous patents and publications to his credit. Mr. Gray is a citizen of the UK and the US.

RICHARD HELFRICH will serve on the High Tech Committee of the Investment Advisory Board. Mr. Helfrich is Founder, President and CEO of InterSemi Corporation, a Silicon Valley California based company that develops and markets semiconductors and related software. In addition, he is also Founder and CEO of InterFoundry, a company in the business of manufacturing semiconductors under contract for other companies. Mr. Helfrich was a co-founder of Vitesse (a NASDAQ company with ticker: VTSS) now valued at over $4 billion. He was Vice President of Sales and Marketing of California Micro Devices (another NASDAQ company) which manufactures and sells semiconductors. He was Manager of Market Development at Advanced Micro Devices (a $2.5 billion New York Stock Exchange listed company) and Manager of Microelectronics at Northrop Corporation, California. Mr. Helfrich has also served in management roles at Monolithic Memories Inc. and Hughes Aircraft, as well as being President and CEO of Multinational Electronics Corp. a business and marketing services organization serving the semiconductor and computer industry. Mr. Helfrich has published many papers on business, marketing and technical subjects and has several patents. He has taught business and marketing classes at University of California Extension, and has an MSEE from CSULA and a BA in Physics from Occidental College. Mr. Helfrich is a US Citizen.

JOHN S. HELLSTRÖM, BVSc, PhD, is Managing Director of Biosecurity Limited, a private New Zealand company providing biotechnology and biosecurity consulting services. He is also a ministerial appointee to, and chairperson of, two New Zealand government agencies, the Veterinary Council and the Biosecurity Council. Dr. Hellström has a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Epidemiology and a Bachelors Degree in Veterinary Science. He has extensive international experience in the regulation of agricultural production, processing and trade and biotechnology. As New Zealand's Chief Veterinary Officer during the period of the massive economic reforms of Sir Roger Douglas (with whom Admiralty is proud to be associated), Dr Hellström had primary technical responsibility for up-grading New Zealand's biosecurity systems. For the last nine years he has been working in the field of biotechnology within the international pharmaceutical industry. In New Zealand he managed a timely and successful $45 million project to construct and commission the world's first global veterinary vaccine plant. In the United States he was responsible for the technical review of Mallinckrodt Veterinary's worldwide manufacturing capabilities. For Schering-Plough, he evaluated global capabilities and opportunities for veterinary vaccines including competitor analysis and opportunities for joint ventures.
Dr. Hellström has been involved in evaluating biotechnology proposals for the past 15 years. As New Zealand's principal regulator of biotechnology related to animals and animal products he was directly involved in the assessment of the first genetically engineered vaccines used in New Zealand. He subsequently represented the pharmaceutical industry on the committee that oversaw field-testing of genetically engineered plants and animals in New Zealand from 1993-98. During the past 10 years he has been evaluating biotechnology proposals within the veterinary pharmaceutical industry.
Dr. Hellström is a Swedish born naturalized New Zealander and is a citizen of the United Kingdom and New Zealand. He has worked widely within the United States and Europe since the mid 1980s.

ALEXANDER J. KREM, Dr. Jur. MBA, BA, is Managing Director of Admiralty Investment Group and Chairman of the Admiralty's Investment Advisory Board and the Vorstand Vorsitziner of First Venture Capital AG. Dr. Krem has a Juris Doctor Degree (JD) in Law and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialty in real estate finance from the University of California at Berkeley. His experience has spanned many fields, but he contributes especially to the High Tech, Telecommunication, and Media Committees of the Investment Advisory Board. Dr. Krem has founded high tech start up companies in California, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. He is member of the board of directors of one. He has developed business plans that have lead to seed round and first round financing on several high tech companies and is now preparing a client company for an IPO in the United States. Dr Krem has been involved with high tech telecom transaction since the early 1980s when he structured the financing of the Central American cellular telephone network of US West Telephone, one of the US "baby bells". He was involved in negotiations for the financing of the trans-Pacific optical fiber cable for the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company. He has worked with the Armenian Government to find investors for a special crystal and laser manufacturing operation there, and led the successful sale of ArmenTel, the national telephone company, for over $600 million. He structured, negotiated and funded the entire Airways Modernization Project for the Airways Corporation of New Zealand, a NZ$93 million project to provide a fully integrated air traffic control system for the country.
Dr. Krem has been involved in film financing since the mid 1980s. Film deals have been negotiated with MGM, 20th Century Fox, Daybreak Pictures, Impact Television and Video, Film Investment Corporation, Film Finance & Development Inc. and many special purpose film finance corporations. He has been involved in the financing of numerous independent films. Dr. Krem is currently involved in financing over 20 films in various stages of development, in Hollywood, New Zealand, Australia and Germany. In addition, he structured the financing of the stage play "Joseph and His Brothers", by Andrew Lloyd Weber, for Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. Dr. Krem is currently Managing Director of Film Finance and Development (NZ) Limited, which is actively involved in film financing in New Zealand and the United States. Dr. Krem is a citizen of the United States and New Zealand. He has worked in Germany since the mid 1970s.

JAMES MRAS, BS, MBA, JD will serve as Chairman of the Energy Committee. Dr. Mras is a banker and international energy finance expert, with experience at some of the US's top banks (Bank of America, Security Pacific Bank, Nations Bank) and finance companies (General Electric Credit and Power Investors Management) since 1983. Energy projects and clients include A1-International, AES Barbers Point, Cachoeria Dourada (Brazil), Caithness Energy, Consolidated Natural Gas, Coso Geothermal, Craven County Cogen, Damhead Creek, Entergy Power (Peru), Gascor, Indeck Ilion, Kennetech & Louisville Power & Light, Keystone Cogen, Mti Corp., NationsFinancial/US West Capital, Pilgrim Electric, Saltend Power, Schlosser Forge Company, Westinghouse, Wind Power Partners and many others, including the top names in Aerospace. Most recently, Dr. Mras has been Director, Structured Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions at Entergy Corporation, a large US energy company. He has worked on projects in Australia, Brazil, China, Peru and the United States. Other experience includes Aerospace/Airlines, Project Finance and High Technology. BENJAMIN MOSES will serve on the Media Committee. Mr. Moses is a television and film producer with more than 500 other productions to his credit. He has won a remarkable eight "Emmy" awards (the television equivalent to an "Oscar"), six for producing and directing. His has won numerous other awards for his production, direction and editing. He was co-producer of the feature films Good Morning Vietnam, starring Robin Williams for Disney/Touchstone Pictures, Without A Clue starring Ben Kingsley and Michael Caine for Orion Pictures and ITC Productions, and producer and writer of Nickel & Dime, for Columbia/TriStar, as well as many others films.
He was General Electric Corporation's executive in charge of television programming and production, where he developed, and for four years supervised, GE Theatre on NBC and ABC. He was also production manager, line producer, associate director, stage manager for CBS Television Network, New York. Additional successful television productions include Not a Question of Courage (Emmys for Best Director and Best Edited Program, described by Walter Cronkite and the president of ABC News as the most powerful documentary they had ever seen), Hunger in the Promised Land (screened at the White House, and prompting Kenny Rogers to give $1 million to domestic hunger programs), Dying with Dignity (Emmys for Best Director and Best Edited Program), East of the L.A. River (Best Director Emmy), and many more. In addition, Mr. Moses has worked for Pro Media TV, Cologne, Germany, where he developed a motion picture and television production division of Germany's largest TV facilities company. He has also worked with television producers and broadcasters in South Korea, Brazil and Mexico, and teaches film at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).

CRAIG NODDER, BCom, MBIA, ACA, CMA, is Executive Director of Admiralty Investment Group, heading the New Zealand Office. Mr. Nodder is on the Vorstand of First Venture Capital AG and serves on the High Tech and Media Committees of the Investment Advisory Board. Mr. Nodder has been a pioneer in software development and implementation. He has developed PC based business systems for accounting functions, point-of-sale and manufacturing control functions, including software and hardware selection and installation, staff training, financial, management and taxation accounting, financial modeling, MIS design, manufacturing control systems installation, auditing, market strategy formulation, pricing. He was founding director and shareholder in a software company, whose product became the most successful accounting package in the New Zealand market and which introduced the first public electronic mail service, which was subsequently acquired by NZ Post. Mr. Nodder has been involved in the property market for many years. He has recently been involved in a major subdivision project in New Zealand. Mr. Nodder heads Admiralty Investment Group's film finance activities in the US, New Zealand and Australasia. He has completed the funding of three feature films in the last year, and has put in place a permanent funding structure for use in future film and media financings. He has structured and funded several special purpose film development companies to finance pre-production expenses for two more feature films, which will be produced in the next few years, and is currently raising funding for one of them. Mr. Nodder has held senior positions at Citibank/Citicorp, Salomon Brothers and Bancorp in Europe and Asia. At Citibank, he was Vice President and Head of Investment Banking Operations for both New Zealand and Germany, with additional responsibility for the business support functions in the bank's German, Belgium, Dutch, Austrian and Swiss trading centers and trading activities in 19 locations. He was Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Salomon Brothers AG's Frankfurt, Berlin and Tokyo wholesale banking, interbank trading, funds management and capital markets activities. He served as Group Finance Director and Company Secretary for Bancorp Holdings, a NZ based merchant bank with a 32 company financial grouping, where he was also responsible for settlements, syndicated property business development and management, investments management, acquisitions due-diligence, technology, and administration. In addition to extensive experience in banking and software development, Mr Nodder has a decade of accounting experience in the agricultural and manufacturing sectors. He has a Bachelors of Commerce degree in Accountancy and Economics and a Masters in Business and Industrial Administration. His special skills include finance, operations, technology, legal & compliance, internal audit, administration and human resources. CORLEY PHILLIPS serves on the High Tech Committee. He is an investor in, and advisor to, early stage high technology companies. From 1990 until its merger with State of the Art (NASDAQ: SOTA) at the end of 1994, he served as President and CEO of Manzanita Software Systems, an accounting software company based in Roseville, CA. From 1984 to 1990, he was President and co-founder of Grafpoint, a communications software company based in San Jose, California which was subsequently merged with White Pine Software (NASDAQ: WPNE). He previously held various sales and marketing positions with Envision Technology and Hewlett-Packard.
Mr. Phillips currently serves on the boards of CAM Data Systems (NASDAQ: CADA), a Retail Automation software company based in Fountain Valley, CampusEngine.com, a web portal company in Folsom, Real Time Innovations, a software development tools company based in Sunnyvale, and Knowledgepoint, a Human Resource software company based in Petaluma. He also serves on the Advisory Board of Storactive, a backup software company based in Marina del Rey.
Corley is also an active member of the Sierra Angels, which provide early stage financing to companies in the Northern Nevada and Northern California area. Based in Incline Village, NV, this group of angel investors provides a forum for entrepreneurs and investors to come together, with a focus on early-stage financing. The objective of the Sierra Angels is to facilitate high quality business development for the community and high quality investment alternatives for angels.
Mr. Phillips holds a BSEE and MSEE from Washington University, St. Louis, and an MBA from Santa Clara University. He is a US Citizen.

WILLIAM M. RAIKE, BA, MS Ph.D. (Northwestern University) will serve on the High Tech and Telecom Committees. Dr. Raike has served as Professor at two leading universities in the US (the University of Texas at Austin and the US Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey California). He is the author of numerous technical articles in the areas of linear and chance-constrained programming. Dr Raike has established three high tech companies operating in the field of electronics research and development, and manufacturing, in the area of high tech telephone voice and data transmission. He has worked internationally as a consultant and independent computer software developer in the US and Japan. For several years he wrote a regular monthly column for BYTE, a prestigious American personal computer magazine. In New Zealand, he has consulted to a variety of corporations. He is now Chief Technical Officer of several international cryptographic software and hardware development companies in which Admiralty has invested.

JOACHIM (AKI) VON ROY is on the Biotech Committee. He is principal of RvR Associates, a health care consultancy that advises and invests in (mostly US) biotechnology companies that seek to enter Europe. He also serves on a number of boards of both commercial and non-profit making organisations. Before founding RvR in 1997, Aki von Roy was President of Bristol-Myers Squibb, Europe, with sales of US$ 2.5 billion and more than 10,000 employees. He was the only non-American on both the corporate and the pharmaceutical operating boards of Bristol-Myers Squibb.
Prior to this position, he started with Schering AG, Berlin, as assistant to the Managing Director in the UK, moved to Managing Director in New Zealand, then to Scandinavia, and subsequently to the US to introduce Schering's first product after 1945; eventually he co-headed the pharmaceutical division in Germany. He then joined Squibb-von Heyden as President, Germany, later taking responsibility for Austria, Switzerland and Eastern Europe as well. Shortly after the merger of Bristol-Myers with Squibb, he was appointed President, Europe. He is a German citizen.

RICHARD J. SCHIPPER, BSc, BA, MBA, is a Director of Admiralty Investment Group and Information Technology Specialist. He will serve as Chairman of the High Tech Committee of the Admiralty Investment Advisory Board. He has over 13 years experience in information technology management. He has worked at a senior level in Barclays Bank - Mercantile Credit, Citibank NA, and Salomon Brothers. He has managed international projects involving the design, development and implementation of major information systems, including screen trading for foreign exchange and money market activities, option portfolio management, mutual funds portfolio management, position keeping. Derivative products pricing models, credit risk management systems, back office support systems and management information and decision support systems. Mr. Schipper has organized and implemented an Asia-Pacific regional information technology strategic planning group and assumed direct responsibility for several large-scale systems development projects. He has implemented IT systems solutions for organizations in Frankfurt, Bombay, Singapore, Brunei, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Taipei, Seoul, Hong Kong, Beijing, Tokyo, Manila, Sydney and Auckland. His skills include computer modeling, computer aided software engineering, open systems methodologies, relational database management systems, client server computing and telecommunications. Mr. Schipper now heads his own company, Effective Solutions, and is engaged in providing turnkey banking systems. One of his most successful products has been adopted by the largest insurance company in the Southern Hemisphere, and by a large electronic banking operation in the UK. The company is now preparing for a NASDAQ listing and an initial public offering (IPO) in the United States. Mr. Schipper is a citizen of New Zealand and the Netherlands.

TOM TAYLOR, BA, MA, MBA, JD is a lawyer and film producer. He is President of T Squared Productions, Los Angeles, providing production, financing, distribution, business and legal affairs consulting services to independent film producers. He has been Executive Producer of many successful feature films, including Fried Green Tomatoes, starring Jessica Tandy and Kathy Bates for Universal/Rank/ASCII, Pyrates, starring Kevin Bacon for Live/Rank, and Sweethearts, starring Janeane Garofalo for Trimark/PFG. He was Producer of Kissing Miranda for HBO. He has acted as Project Consultant for Reversal of Fortune starring Jeremy Irons and Glenn Close for Warner Bros./Shochiku-Fuji, and 3 Ninja Kids for Disney/DeLaurentiis. Previously, he was Senior Vice President, Production and Business Affairs of Act III Productions, Los Angeles, where he managed production, business, financial and legal affairs for motion picture division of diversified entertainment company. Dr Taylor was also Vice President in the Office of the Chairman of MGM / United Artists, where he acted as advisor to the Chairman of the Board in wide range of projects, including acquisition of MGM assets and personnel, relocation of the MGM/UA Home Entertainment Group and related reorganization of MGM/UA Telecommunications operations. He was Vice President at United Artists Corporation, Beverly Hills, California, where he advised and assisted senior management in the startup organization of the new United Artists. Dr. Taylor is a licensed attorney, and has practiced in the Motion Picture Department of a top Los Angeles law firm. He holds Doctor of Jurisprudence and Master of Business Administration degrees from Stanford University, a Master of Arts degree (with honours) from Magdalene College of Cambridge University, England, and a Bachelor of Arts degree with High Distinction from the University of Michigan. He is a US Citizen.

MARK S. VAN HORNE, MBA, BA, is a Chairman of the Property Committee of Investment Advisory Board. He also serves on the Energy Committee. A respected international consultant, Mr. van Horne's business expertise is focused on finance, real estate and technology. He is the Managing Partner of a US investment partnership with real estate interests in Texas and California. Mr. van Horne was Vice President of Finance for seven years with one of the largest investment firms in Saudi Arabia, with total assets in excess of $3 billion. In this capacity, he was in the Middle East for five years developing and supervising projects in eight countries, with a value of over $800 million. He then headed its Asian office in Hong Kong for two years, where he developed major projects in Hong Kong, Macau, China and Malaysia with a total value of $300 million. These projects included urban resort hotel properties, residential developments, and agricultural enterprises. Responsibility for these projects required a wide range of property investment and management skills from identifying, evaluating and financing investments to planing, costing, site location, contracting, financing and construction management. As an investment banker, Mr. van Horne has worked with many clients in the start up and venture capital phase. These have included business ventures in the areas of automation, video technology and Computer Aided Design (CAD) software development. He has established companies developing medical equipment and computer controlled laser manufacturing techniques, based to technology developed by research laboratories at the University of Texas. These research and development efforts have produced several important commercial applications including an eximer laser used for eye surgery, a non-invasive portable lead paint detector, a selective laser sintering device for the machine and manufacturing industries. He has been closely involved in early phase energy projects, including the licensing of new alternate fuel systems for automobiles, methods to increase pipeline efficiency, and techniques of liquifying and transporting natural gas at low pressures and normal temperatures. In his energy projects, Mr. van Horne has worked in cooperation with the Energy Research Center at the University of Oklahoma. This experience has allowed him to see a wide range of opportunities in technology and energy from the prospective of manager, financial professional and investor.
Mr. van Horne has extensive prior international experience, having lived and worked throughout the Middle East and Far East for nearly ten years. He has been responsible for projects with Admiralty in Sierra Leone, Bulgaria, Armenia and the Republic of Moldova. Mr. Van Horne has a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Harvard University's Graduate School of Business Administration with emphasis on finance and real estate and a Bachelor of Art (BA) degree in Economics from Stanford University. He is a US citizen.

DR. MED. GERNOT WOLFRAM is a member of the Biotech Committee of the Investment Advisory Board. He studied medicine at the Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich and received a license to practice as a doctor in 1988. He worked as an intern at several hospitals and as a scientific researcher at the Institute for Pharmacology and Toxicology in Munich, at the Division of Clinical Pharmacology at the Internal Medicine in Munich, at the Institute of Aerospace Medicine of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Cologne, and the Institute of Flight Medicine at the University of Aachen. Dr Wolfram is member of the Board of Management or Supervisory Board of various biomedical research companies. Dr. Wolfram has numerous scientific publications to his credit. He is a German citizen.
